I am an Associate Professor and Fellow in German at St. John’s College, University of Oxford. Before moving to Oxford I studied in Dublin, Göttingen, and worked at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in Germany. My current research focuses on the history of pharmacy and literature in the 18th and 19th centuries, but I have also written on Kafka, the Gothic, and popular culture.
